Ingredient

Marigold

Calendula officinalis

Origin: Mediterranean basin, now cultivated worldwide · Family: Asteraceae

Calendula officinalis (often called pot marigold) is one of the few flowers that retains its colour when dried — the petals stay vivid orange-yellow even after weeks of storage. In a Flora Tea heart, marigold is what turns the steeped liquor a soft amber and provides the warm honey-floral undertone.
